Valentine’s Day Dog Cranberry Cookies

posted on

Well, it seemed January blew by and here now Valentine’s Day is now on our doorstep.

Why not celebrate with that special love of your life, your pup. Making your own dog treats can be fun and what could be better than knowing you are feeding them good, nutritious ingrediants.

This cookie recipe is low in fat. Cranberries are very healthy for your dog, as they are for us. Cranberries are full of vitamins, minerals, and  nutrients. They can support the pup’s immune system. Keep in mind, as with all things, to feed them to your dog in moderation.

Here is a dog tested and approved recipe for you to try.

Valentines Day Cranberry Dog Treats

1 1/2 cup Wheat Flour

1/2 cup Corn Meal ( You can also use a 1/2 cup of Wheat Flour instead)

2/3 cup Unsweetened Applesauce

1 Egg

1/4 cup Oats

1/4 cup Dried Cranberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the wheat flour, corn meal and oats together. Add the egg and applesauce and stir into the dry ingredients. Add in the dried cranberries. I rolled out the dough on a floured surface and used my heart cookie cutter, but you can use any type of cookie cutter. Place on a pan. Spray with coconut oil or another baking spray. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
